Receiving the ‘Outstanding Leadership and Management’ award, James Hagan, Chairman and Founder, Hagan Homes said:
"I am absolutely delighted to receive this award. Accolades of this nature can create the impression that the achievements are down to one person and in terms of Hagan Homes' success that couldn't be further from the truth.
"We are a family business and our staff are part of our family. We have a very loyal, talented team, and I want to thank each and every one of our staff, past and present. This award recognises the effort they invest day after day to deliver an exceptional standard of service.”
Mr Hagan continued: "Sadly we lost an extremely important member of our family last month. My mother Peggy. Peggy was a fabulous, inspirational businesswoman who taught me the ins and outs of business. She was a natural visionary who was always able to see the bigger picture. She taught me everything I know about leadership and management. I owe her everything and I want to dedicate this award to her. She's been a transformative force in my life and subsequently in the Hagan Homes journey.
"A journey that is still continuing today under the direction of my son Jamesy. Jamesy is a strong leader and he has a strong team around him. Our team’s ability to adapt to an ever-changing market has been an integral part of our success. Hagan Homes is continuing to evolve and prosper by remaining true to its family values - which makes me very proud. I know it would make my mother and father very proud too.”
Discussing the awards Richard Buckley, Editor of Business Eye said:
"Over the past years, the UTV Business Eye Awards have grown to become by far the biggest and most important business awards on the local stage, honouring the best businesses and the best business leaders here in Northern Ireland.”

Mr James Hagan said: "Our most recent annual results indicate that what we are offering, in terms of specification of build, is exactly what our customers want. Hagan Homes aim to build affordable, quality, stylish homes and achieve this by appointing award-winning architects, interior designers and craftspeople.
